How do we get to Dalkeith Country Park? 

By car?

The car entrance is less than five minutes from Edinburgh City Bypass. There is only one single vehicle entrance which is King’s Gate –  the left turn shortly after Sheriffhall Roundabout on the A6106. The Park postcode is EH22 1ST or you can find it on what3words.  When purchasing tickets, you must purchase your car park pass alongside your ticket if you intend on travelling by car. Our parking stewards will direct you into a designated parking bay.

By public transport?

If you’re travelling from Edinburgh to Dalkeith, jump on a Lothian Bus number 3, 33 or 49 to Dalkeith High Street. Dalkeith Country Park is then a short 5 to 10 minutes walk away.

There are regular trains from the Borders and Edinburgh City Centre to Eskbank Station, a 25-minute walk from The Park. Or jump on the number 40 Lothian Bus from the station to Dalkeith High Street. From Dalkeith High Street it’ll take about five to 10 minutes to walk to the event.

 

On foot?

The pedestrian entrance to the event is Town Gate (postcode EH22 2NA). Anyone arriving by foot should use this entrance where your tickets will be checked and then admitted into the event.

How do we get to Deans Castle Country Park? 

 Coming by car?

We would encourage all attendees to arrive on foot or by public transport.

However, if travelling by car from the North and South (Glasgow and Prestwick Airports). From A77, take the B7038 turn off, follow the B7038/Glasgow Road towards the town centre and turn left onto Dean Road. The main car park will be closed to facilitate our funfair rides.

Coming by Public transport?

Dean Castle Country Park is a 15-minute walk from Kilmarnock Train Station and main bus terminal or a 5-minute walk from the X76 Kilmarnock-Glasgow bus route. Alight on Glasgow Road, Kilmarnock, then follow Dean Road to the Country Park.

By Foot?

Yes, the event is accessible on foot and we would encourage attendees to arrive on foot or on public transport.
