Tickets – All you need to know!

Can we buy tickets at the event?

Yes in some instance where the event has not sold out, a selection of tickets will be available at a dedicated box office on each of the sites. Tickets will cost £2 more for adults and £1 more for children so we encourage that you pre-purchase in advance to avoid missing out. 

Do you offer discounts for group bookings?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this for any Fawkes Festival events.

Do you offer carer tickets?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this for any Fawkes Festival events.

Can I get a refund on my tickets?

We are sorry refunds are not offered, and tickets are non-transferable to another event.

Do I need to print my tickets?

No! As part of GC Live’s sustainability goals all tickets will be digital! Please do not print your tickets, please present them on your phone. Thank you.

What time should I arrive?

Make sure you arrive early to make the most out of the pre-show entertainment and get your hands on some fantastic food and drink our vendors will be selling on the night!

Can I use a drone?

No, drones are not permitted on site.

Access & Parking

Do we need to pay for a car pass?

Yes, If you are planning on driving to this event. We have limited parking on the Dalkeith / Dean Castle Estate, and you will need your car pass to secure your space on the night. Our event team stewards will direct you to a parking spot when you arrive. Please note that all parking (apart from disabled parking) is on grass.

What time should we arrive?

Please check the individual event page that you are chosing to attend for arrival times. Our Fawkes Festival team will also email you a couple of days before the event with all of the important information surrounding travel and arrival.

What if we arrive late?

Please don’t! If you arrive too late you may be refused entry as we have to strictly monitor flow of attendees coming into our sites where fireworks are set to take place. Plan your journey ahead!

Do you offer blue badge parking?

Yes we do, our stewards will direct you to this area on arrive. Please ensure your badge is displayed clearly on arrival.

Can we use public transport to arrive at the event?

 Yes you can, please check each of the individual event pages for public transport guidance. If you need further support, please do contact us on the ‘Contact’ tab and a member of our team will be in touch to help you.

What is the ground like?

Are there Accessible toilets?

Yes- Located within main area once you have had your ticket scanned by a member of staff.

Do you provide wheelchairs?

No, sadly we are unable to provide wheelchairs or any other mobility aids.

The Event itself!

Will there be food available at the event?

You bet! Our events will have a large range of fantastic vendors selling all kinds of food and drinks! Of course, there will be vegan and gluten free options available too!

Do you take card or cash?

We accept both!

What kind of entertainment do we have?

Do I have to pay for the funfair rides?

Yes, all the funfair rides are chargeable. They are not included in your ticket price.

Can I bring my dog / sparkles / BBQ / Picnic table / fireworks / alcohol / Gran?

Please don’t bring your dog unless he / she is an assistance dog.  The events include major fireworks display and is loud, along with accompanying music.  Please also do not bring any pets and leave them in your car – they may become distressed during the fireworks.

Please don’t bring sparklers, fireworks or alcohol. These are strictly prohibited from Fawkes Festival.

We are happy for you to bring camping chairs and rugs, but please do not bring tables or BBQs.

Yes, you can bring your Gran and your Grandpa, Nana and Pops too – we are sure they will love it!

 

Does it end after the firework display?

No chance! You are welcome to stay, grab some more food and drinks, enjoy the rides once again! The event closes at 7:45pm

Do you have a system in place for lost children?

We recommend dressing your young ones in bright clothing and if possible, putting a copy of your contact details in their pockets just in case. Our event staff are fully briefed and have agreed systems in place to ensure the safe return of your children in the unlikely event of them getting lost. 

Can we bring a buggy or a pram?

Yes, please bear in mind you’ll be parking on grass, but the main event arena is hard standing. 

 

The Weather – all you need to know!

Will the event go ahead if it’s raining?

Yes! The only weather which may cause the event to be cancelled is very high winds. In the unlikely event we have to cancel then announcements on our socials.

What should I wear?

It’s Scotland!

So dress warmly and wear flat waterproof shoes, much of the event is on grass and remember this is almost winter time. In the words of the great Billy Connolly, there is no such thing as bad weather only the wrong clothes!
